Tessa Thompson
Tessa Lynn Thompson is an American actress born on September 3rd, 1983 at Los Angeles. The actress is the daughter the singer and songwriter Marc Anthony Thompson and the niece of actor-musician Bobby Ramos. The family lived at home in Los Angeles before moving to Brooklyn, New York. Her mother has Mexican and British Isles roots, while her father is Afro-Panamanian. Thompson was a part of many productions at Santa Monica High School. Thompson enrolled at Santa Monica College after graduation and earned a cultural anthropology degree. A Pasadena-based theater company performed her in a production. Boston Court Theatre, she appeared as Juliet in William Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet". The show's performance was a big hit and made her a NAACP Theatre nomination the same year. Her first appearance on television was in 2005 when she appeared on CBS.
