Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise, an American actress and writer popular for her portrayal of Ginger Grant on the television show Gilligan's Island in 1960s. In the 1950s, she launched her acting career on stage for Bettle Davis' musical Two's Company. After that, she acted on Broadway in various productions until 1957 when Li'lAbner went famous at the National Theatre. In 1957, she also released her debut music album called It's time for Tina. Louise started with her Hollywood career in the year 1958 in which she played Griselda Walden in God's Little Acre, a dramatic film. It was a huge commercial success and Louise earned her the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the Years category. In the years prior to this, she was a student at the Actors Studio of New York. Lee Strasberg was her teacher. The next role she starred in was by way of 1964 when she joined CBS to play Ginger Grant in 1964. Louise continued to juggle her career in between Broadway as well as Hollywood acting in more dark roles as opposed to the image of an glamor girl. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. She also played SG-1 on the show and Helen Magnus on Sanctuary. She has also been a renowned director of the most popular TV shows, including Supernatural and The 100. Her family moved out of Essex to Toronto and she lived there for both her teenage and adult years. When she was chosen to play the role as Samantha Carter, she moved to Vancouver in 1997. She is a resident of Vancouver ever from then on.
